Linda Klemm, a children's carer at a day care centre in Florida, has been arrested after being accused of injuring a little girl who had been dropped off at Kids Stop and Play for the day, the child's mother alerted investigators after she discovered her child had marks and injuries on her face, and a chunk of hair missing from her head.

In a police statement, Detective William Wood said Klemm refused to admit to the child abuse accusations, even after seeing the CCTV footage.

"She wouldn't admit to kicking the child in the head, even when I was pausing and going through frame by frame, she just wouldn't admit to it," he said.

The girl's parents have confirmed that she is back to her usual self after being checked out in hospital, but she won't be returning to the day care centre.

The centre's owner Rhonda Sweatman said: "I was devastated, upset about it. I don't understand. It's the worst thing that could ever happen."
